이 말들은 슬로건이 아니라, 매 순간의 판단을 가르는 내부 기준에 가깝습니다.
자연의 조화
자연은 언제나 답을 먼저 알고 있었습니다. 다만 그것을 말로 설명하지 않을 뿐입니다.
저희는 자연을 강한 성분의 집합으로 바라보지 않습니다. 자연은 늘 균형 속에서 작동합니다. 하나가 튀어나오면 다른 하나가 받쳐주고, 과하면 스스로를 낮춥니다.
그래서 저희는 무언가를 더하는 방식보다, 불필요한 것을 덜어내는 선택에 익숙해졌습니다. 자연의 조화란 특별한 것을 넣는 기술이 아니라, 지나치지 않게 멈출 줄 아는 감각에 가깝다고 생각합니다. 달콤해야 하지만 과하지 않고, 부드러워야 하지만 흐릿하지 않은 상태.

왜 이 원료를 사용하는지, 왜 이 배합이어야 하는지, 왜 이 형태가 가장 적절 한지에 대해 설명할 수 있어야 한다고 믿습니다. 과학은 신뢰를 얻기 위한 장식이 아니라, 선택을 검증하는 도구여야 합니다. 그래서 저희는 연구와 데이터, 그리고 검증 가능한 구조를 중요하게 다룹니다. 또한 동시에 과학을 맹신하지도 않습니다. 모르는 것을 모른다고 말할 수 있는 태도, 과장하지 않는 정직함 역시 과학의 일부라고 생각하기 때문입니다.
전통의 깊이
전통은 종종 과거에 머무는 것으로 오해 받습니다. 그러나 저희가 생각하는 전통은 다릅니다. 전통은 오래되었기 때문에 가치 있는 것이 아니라, 시간을 통과하며 여전히 남아 있기 때문에 의미가 있다고 믿습니다. 저희는 전통을 그대로 반복하지 않습니다.

그래서 아무리 좋아 보이는 선택이라 하더라도, 이 세 가지를 동시에 만족하지 못하면 저희는 선택하지 않기로 했습니다.
이 기준은 완벽한 결과를 약속하지는 않습니다.
다만 왜 이런 선택을 했는지에 대해서는 언제든 설명할 수 있도록 만들어줍니다.
저희는 아이에게, 부모에게, 그리고 결국 저희 자신에게 부끄럽지 않은 선택을 하고자 합니다. 시간이 지나 다시 돌아보았을 때에도 “그때 그렇게 판단한 이유는 분명했다”고 말할 수 있기를 바랍니다. 이 기준들은 앞으로도 계속 다듬어지고 수정될 것입니다.
그러나 방향 만큼은 바뀌지 않을 것입니다.
이 세 가지 기준이 지금의 Twodeers를 만들었고, 앞으로도 저희를 움직이게 할 기준이기 때문입니다.

At TwoDeers, we return to the same question every time we create a product.
Is this choice truly ours, and can we explain it clearly to the very end?
To answer that question with consistency, we have established three clear principles.
The harmony of nature, the trust of science, and the soul of tradition.
These are not slogans. They are the foundational standards behind every decision we make.
The harmony of nature is the first direction we consider.
We do not see nature as a simple collection of ingredients.
Nature operates through balance. When one element becomes prominent, another moderates it.
For this reason, we tend to choose restraint over excess, and reduction over addition.
To us, the harmony of nature is not a technique of emphasizing something special,
but a standard that knows when to stop before going too far.
Sweet, but not overwhelming. Gentle, but not indistinct.
We define the harmony of nature as choosing the point closest to that balance.
The trust of science is the standard by which we verify that direction.
If nature provides intuition, science provides a language that can be explained.
We strive not to rely solely on impressions or experience.
We believe we must be able to explain why a particular ingredient is used,
why a specific formulation is chosen, and why a certain form is appropriate.
Science is not decoration for credibility; it is a tool for validation.
That is why we value research, data, and verifiable structures,
while deliberately avoiding exaggerated interpretations or definitive claims.
The ability to say “we do not know” is, to us, also part of scientific integrity.
The soul of tradition is what anchors our judgment.

We do not repeat tradition as it was.
Instead, we ask why certain approaches were sustained for so long,
and what structures of thought and balance made them resilient.
We then reinterpret those principles in today’s language and environment.
What we call the soul of tradition is not a return to the past,
but a choice to value sustainable conviction over fleeting trends.
These three principles do not exist independently.
The harmony of nature sets the direction,
the trust of science provides the rationale,
and the soul of tradition keeps us grounded.
If even one of these is missing, our decisions become unstable.
Therefore, no matter how appealing a choice may seem,
we do not proceed unless all three principles are satisfied.
These standards do not promise perfection.
They ensure, however, that every decision we make can be clearly explained.
We aim to make choices that we would not be ashamed to explain
to children, to parents, and ultimately to ourselves.
When we look back in the future, we hope to say,
“There was a clear reason for that decision.”
These principles will continue to evolve and be refined over time.
